The RAPIX eHub is a powerful DALI application controller. It is a part of the RAPIX Lighting Control System, and connects input peripherals to a DALI line.

The device includes four smart channel inputs for connecting to RAPIX eHub smart channel peripherals, and two additional input connections for occupancy sensors and / or dry contacts.

Peripherals are connected to the smart channel inputs. Available peripherals include an LCD switch, push-button and rotary switches, general dry-contact input, and expanders to allow dry-contact style movement sensors.

The eHub manages input peripheral power requirements, DALI communications, and provides extensive embedded logical functions for the connected switches and sensor peripherals.

An Ethernet connection allows integration with AV systems using a simple TCP/IP connection and the RAPIX API.

Commissioning is fast and easy using the free RAPIX Addressingg or RAPIX Integrator software.

The eHub is a compact unit, and fits through a standard 90 mm downlight ceiling hole. It is suitable for locating in a ceiling void.

The RAPIX DALI-2 Ethernet Interface can be used as part of the RAPIX Lighting Control System which uses the Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI-2) open standard protocol for lighting.

This product provides an isolated communication path between Ethernet and DALI. Control and monitoring of DALI-2 enabled luminaires and emergency lighting devices can be performed by an Ethernet-connected device.

The RAPIX DALI-2 Ethernet Interface can also be used to extend the number of DALI lines used by the RAPIX DALI-2 Zone Controller. A Zone Controller can operate with up to two Ethernet Interfaces, allowing a single Zone Controller to be expanded from 4 DALI lines to a maximum of 8 DALI lines.

When used in conjunction with the PC-based RAPIX Emergency software, DALI-1 and DALI-2 emergency lighting devices can be monitored on a schedule with automatic generation of test and maintenance reports.

This device is also suitable for Ethernet product developers who want an electrically safe interface to DALI with a rich protocol on the Ethernet side. A full protocol document and software development kit is available on request.

The Zone Controller supports control functions, scheduling, and the seamless joining of individual DALI lines in a building.

Each Zone Controller can connect up to four physical DALI Lines. Zone Controllers communicate to each other and external systems using Ethernet networking. The Zone Controller software allows DALI Devices and DALI Groups across any DALI Line to be linked together to form DALI Xi Zones and Scenes that suit the building application.

Each Zone Controller also allows up to two RAPIX DALI Ethernet Interfaces to be used to add a further one, two, three or four DALI lines.

External systems connectivity is available using a variety of protocols. These include a native and secured RAPIX protocol, a REST API, MQTT, BACnet and Modbus. Other protocols are regularly being added.

The rules engine in the controller can track and control DALI devices based upon events in the system.
