RAPIX is a complete DALI-2 lighting control ecosystem developed to simplify the commissioning, operation, and management of addressable lighting systems.

What is RAPIX?

RAPIX is built around the DALI-2 standard (IEC 62386) and extends it with a rich application layer including:

  • Zone Controllers — multi-line DALI network management
  • eHub Application Controller — centralised logic, scheduling, and scene management
  • Sensors — occupancy detection and light level measurement for energy-efficient control
  • Switches and Inputsmodular wall switches, rotary dimmers, and push-button inputs
  • Relays — for controlling non-DALI loads such as blinds, fans, and switched circuits
  • Dimmers — DALI-2 compatible phase-cut dimmers for retrofit LED and conventional loads
  • Power Supplies — robust 250 mA DALI bus power
  • Touchscreens — 5-inch LCD touch switches with configurable scene and group control
  • Software — PC-based commissioning, touchscreen configuration, and facilities management tools

Resilience and commissioning

RAPIX is a decentralised system: DALI-2 application controllers in switches and sensors cooperate locally, while zone controllers link lines over standard Ethernet. If the Ethernet path is interrupted, each segment continues to operate and self-heals when connectivity returns.

Many switches and sensors support zero-commissioning broadcast on/off and dim behaviour out of the box before Integrator programming. Full system design uses RAPIX Integrator (free for verified integrators).
