What’s in the kit

Each kit includes:

  • One DALI-2 modular master switch (classic push button, Diva retractive push, or rotary — choose above)
  • One RAPIX DALI-2 miniature power supply (50 mA)
  • One UK 1-gang wall plate (supplied with the kit for UK install)

What else do I need?

This kit is the control side only. Dimming is done by the driver in each DALI fitting.

You also need:

  • One or more DALI dimmable luminaires (any brand with a DALI or DALI-2 driver)
  • Mains to the fittings and to the miniature power supply
  • A DALI line linking the power supply, fittings, and switch (About DALI)
  • A standard UK back box for the wall plate

Wire the miniature PSU, fittings and switch as a self-contained DALI line, fit the switch into the plate, and every connected fitting responds together to broadcast commands. See the Broadcast Dimmer Kit Overview and the switch / PSU docs below for wiring and out-of-box behaviour.

Why broadcast?

DALI-2 broadcast sends standard DALI commands to every device on the line. No short addresses, no scenes, no software. Luminaires dim, brighten, and switch in unison — DALI-2 precision without the commissioning overhead.

Hardware is the same modular switch and miniature PSU sold individually for RAPIX and other DALI-2 systems. When the job outgrows a single broadcast zone, expand or migrate to a full addressed DALI-2 / RAPIX install without throwing the kit away.
